Oil Filter
The oil filter prevents dirt and debris from getting into your engine cleaning the oil before it reaches the engine. There are several parts to a filter that, working together, also prevent oil from leaking from the engine back through the filter or unfiltered oil from getting into the engine.

Oil Pan Gasket
The oil pan gasket, usually made from rubber or silicone, seals your oil pan in place and prevents oil from leaking out into other parts.

Oil Pump
The oil pump pushes oil through the various parts of your engine to prevent friction and wear, absorb dirt, and prevent corrosion. An oil pump requires regular oil changes and filter changes to function well. If oil isn’t changed it becomes contaminated and cause wear and tear on the pump.
